Me too. :sigh: Seriously, it was probably the first morning in forever that he woke up and his pain and generally miserable life wasn't the first thing he thought of, his first thought was of her and the night he thought they'd spent together. And it made him happy, GENUINELY happy, that is beautiful. :love: :in_love:

And how he was expecting her to still be there with him, he was looking for her, oh my God, now I can only imagine what it would have been like, had she really been there, awwwwwwwwwwwww it would have been perfection, he'd never let her go :in_love::in_love::in_love::in_love::in_love:

I can totally see that happening, really, since the first time I read it (and I've read that chapter more than the others, lol) I could just perfectly picture that happening on the show once they get together, because House IS so romantic (whether he admits that or not) :in_love::in_love::in_love::in_love::in_love:

Tiff made a really good point over on the House board earlier after she'd watched Failure To Communicate from S2. House said this at one point:

"Fine, maybe your stories are legit. People would start to wonder. Annoyed politicians, entire governments would be on your ass. You couldn't tell anybody you were bipolar, which was fine. Until you fell in love. [He turns to look at Stacy.] And you wanted that life. And you hear that there's a surgical cure, give the woman you love the life she wants. All you have to do is change."

He wanted to be able to change, but he didn't do it for Stacy, didn't even try. I think he still loved her then, but not enough to change for her. But this season has showed his willingness to change - trying different pain management, seeing a shrink, detoxing and being able to confess how he feels. Why? Because, as he said in the quote above, he's fallen in love. He wants to believe he can have that kind of life. And Cuddy is the woman who's brought it all on, he's in love with HER. :in_love:

The thing with Stacy is that she didn't even try either, as soon as things got rough she jumped out of the relationship, she left him when he needed her the most. Maybe he still loved her in season 2, but he already knew that was going nowehere and he would only get hurt again, that was over already, it just needed proper closure, which I think was the purpose of that storyline, I mean, it needed to end so House could finally move on.

Now with Cuddy, it's the opposite, she's been with him through the most diffcult times of his life and she's never left his side for one moment, she's always there and she's not going anywhere, she's his constant, he knows that and to me that's exactly why he was so scared of it becoming more, cause she's his rock, if they got together and it didn't work and he lost her and what they already have, it would be just unbearable. But he decided to take that chance now, after everything that happened this year, which took a lot of courage, he's come so far. They've got a long way to go still, but they've progressed a lot already if we think about everything and I really think they'll get there. It took a long time for him to trust again that love could work for him, and now, based on what we saw in that last episode, it seems like he was finally opening up to that possibility in his life again, and once he did, he didn't want to take things slow anymore, he wanted it all, a life with her, that's so beautiful :love::love::love::love::love:

I totally agree. :nod: I totally think he was being serious with that "moving in" comment, it happened fast like that with Stacy. Once he's made up his mind and realised how feels, he wants it all right away, no more time wasting. He wanted it all with Cuddy. :sigh: :love:

I watched WYD with my mother last night (her first time seeing it), she was all indignant about Cuddy not asking House to "be the daddy" at the end, I was proud of her. :love: :lol: She also said "those two would have gorgeous babies" :D
