Amazing really how close Rachel and Brooke become after Season 3, given that they were love rivals in Season 3


Mark screwed up OTH when he went back to Leyton. In terms of the narrative, it made no sense and it made Peyton look two-faced, because she had literally just told Brooke "I care about Lucas and I always will, but he's INSANELY IN LOVE WITH YOU. I'm not going to hurt you again." What a joke.


I heard that Chad ad-libbed much of that moment and the kiss Must have been heartbreaking for Sophia. Their divorce was a messy, public one.

Narratively, it was really messy. When you think about how s4 picks up literally minutes after the end of s3, it really does make Lucas and Peyton look bad. & the way Peyton acted like she was being a really great friend to Lucas by being there for him without ever telling him the real reason broke up with him was so frustrating & it never came out!

Me too, it was so obvious that they were trying to make her the bad guy so that people might be more accepting of Lucas/Peyton

I actually thought that Brooke came across as sympathetic and caring


It was PEYTON who was written terribly. She made Brooke so many false promises about her feelings for Lucas being those of a friend. She kept telling her that the past didn't matter, because Lucas is in love with Brooke and Peyton is in love with Jake.


Every single word that Peyton said to Brooke about Lucas before Season 4, about being over him etc, was a sick joke.


The only time Brooke is made to look bad is when the sex tape between her and Nathan is revealed. I loathed the Brathan sex tape story line. Why? Because it ret-conned the past. Not once was it EVER hinted at that Brooke and Nathan (the school's most sexual people) had ever hooked up. It was forced into the show during Season 4 so that Brooke would end up looking like the backstabber all along and so that Lucas/Peyton could go ahead happily in the eyes of the fans.


...Just typing that made me want to throw up.

Oh God, the sex tape was just awful! Just another way to make Peyton the victim & Brooke the bad friend

Again, it was such an obvious way to try & force Brooke & Peyton to become friends again & make Lucas & Peyton being together ok, when you have to stretch a storyline that far, maybe you shouldn't have gone there in the first place...
