Good idea, I wish I had done that! There are still a few good forwood scenes worth checking out, but I'm sure that they're on youtube somewhere

That's definitely a good idea. I stopped watching after 4x02 for the final time...although I did see scenes here and there in passing after that. And I did watch the series finale...or at least most of it.

I did keep up with any Caroline/Tyler scenes or even mentions on the show & have a general idea of what happened in the show - all things that made me glad I had stopped watching

I did too for the most part...but I was just so disgusted by that point it didn't really matter.

sucks that pretty much right after Caroline and Tyler get together the writers decided to have him become this vampire/werewolf hybrid sired to Klaus

I heard the original plan was for him & Stefan to kill Klaus together, which is how that storyline should have gone, then it would have actually serviced Tyler as a character & narratively it would have all fit together better....
