Never even saw it as a love triangle. It was Caroline/Tyler and Caroline's stalker. Even this awkward photo they used to promote the triangle makes it look like that: https://d.ibtimes.com/en/full/146680...b127410a1879ae Also when she did give in to him it was on the condition that he would leave her alone which says it all. But it was gross to even try to paint anything about them as romantic. Caroline would never have chosen Klaus over Tyler and I think that's the reason he was brought in for an episode just to be killed off.

Yes, same. Love triangle implies a well built-up story of two guys loving the same girl, which was the opposite here. But unfortunately, 5x11 made Klaroline more than an AU ship and it tarnished Forwood's legacy in the show forever.

I mean... Caroline knew that Klaus had possessed Tyler's body in season 3/4 and used it to sexually manipulate her. Who the hell would find somebody as desperate and creepy as that attractive going forward?

Caroline/Tyler & Caroline's stalker is the best way to describe the 'triangle', because that's what it was. Caroline was completely in love with Tyler & didn't want to be with anyone else. That's how Candice played it too, she said multiple times in interviews that Caroline just wants to be with Tyler & never see Klaus again

That's a brilliant quote from Candice, and it also proves how the PR machine worked against her in the later years - when all of a sudden, is was as if somebody behind the scenes had warned her off mentioning Tyler in a positive light ever again.

Never forget that Tyler took Caroline's dying body to Klaus for him to heal, even though Klaus was the one to bite her - out of spite towards Tyler.

That's how much Tyler loved her. He loved her enough to submit to that if it meant she lived.

It's heartbreaking just how far Tyler was willing to go in order to save Caroline (and his pack) from Klaus, and how little credit he gets from the fandom for his good intentions.

Tyler did love Caroline the most out of any of her love interests, & he was the best guy for her too. They were they best versions of themselves together
