I'm just heartbroken at their ending, but also happy that they got 5 wonderful years together. Do you guys have an absolute favourite scene for them?

I believe it's said to be they actually had 13 years together

Or that seems to be what the majority of fans thing.

I loved all their scenes together, but I think the proposal was just something so special and unique

yeah, they had a long time together. it was only 5 years they had before the lady showed up again. civil unions became legal in vermont in 2000, so it was a while

still wish they could have had a lifetime, though

i also think the proposal scene is my favorite

Oh, I had no idea it was only legal much later.

I had figured that they were together for at least 5 years (could be 7 years) because of when they told Owen about the engagement (he mentioned Flora's age then) but I'm glad that they got that long together ... even if it wasn't enough.

I absolutely lost it at the lake scene though, that was devastating. That scene, however, showed the opposite parallel of how toxic Rebecca/Peter was vs. Dani/Jamie ... Peter was selfish and didn't want to be alone and killed Rebecca just because of that.

Dani would never kill Jamie just so she wouldn't be alone in the lake. That's true love.

Flora was 8 when the events at Bly took place, and 17 when Owen mentioned her age, so that was at least 9 years.

For some reason, I kept thinking that Flora was 10

but technically, Dani/Jamie's relationship must have started a few months after she came to Bly Manor (and Hannah died when Flora was 8) so yup, 9 years in that case.

The epilogue was truly so beautiful in fleshing out their story, I already liked them before but we never got to really see them as a couple, and I loved that we got to see that in the finale.

Miles was 10. Hannah kept repeating their ages, which was helpful

It was likely a few months later, although I did like the tidbit about Jamie treating Dani as if she had always been there.

The epilogue was beautiful but hugely devastating, and I'm still sad at the suggestion that Flora didn't remember Dani and Jamie. You'd assume she would, especially as they said they'd stay in touch and she remembered Owen, so he obviously did, but she didn't recognise Jamie, so guess she doesn't remember Dani at all.

I was heartbroken about their ending but their story was so beautiful and I loved that they were the opposite to the toxicity of Peter/Rebecca.

The scene of Jamie shouting under water for Dani to take her with her was so devastating. Even just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
