i know the known record/story is less happy for Emily, i'm hoping this re-telling/re-imagining gives her a clearer destiny, and a happy someday for Emily and Sue. i'm not quite ready to start Season 3, and it seems to be the final season too.

i have not.

i have seen 2x10 twice now, and both times i laugh because while all of their time together is happening, the church is burning to the ground.

i so love the subtle symbolism of that.

the church is one of the greatest symbols of the patriarchy and oppression, it is such symbolism to see the very institution that forced women to be seen and not heard, subservient, baby-factories, forever stuck in 186 layers of oppressive costumes, chained to the stove and laundry board, uneducated, no careers, no individualism just part of a vast oppressed gender, male enforced morality, burning to the ground.

spiritualism has nothing to do with male-created-dominated religions that are designed to enforce the status quo. nothing. at. all.

this show is fantastic in all it's themes.
