So, I know Doug couldn't come back after she told him she's pregnant because George left the show, but it's so out of character for Doug so I'm sad

S6 is going to be hard.

I don’t know why they couldn’t just say that Doug got a job at a different hospital or something. He wanted a baby just as much as Carol so it was completely OOC for him to not be around at all during her pregnancy.

I watched ER almost until the end but couldn’t really bear it after S13 though. In S6 we meet Abby and Luca who essentially take over for Carol and Doug so they help to fill that void. You’re probably not going to like Luca at first but he helps Carol a lot.

That was an incredible episode. Julianna is such an amazing actress.

I’ve pictured what that could have been like many times. We would’ve definitely gotten some powerful scenes from George.
