If he does indeed ship Doctor/Rose I'll bet he couldn't resist.

Just saw Last of the Time Lords and...I can almost say that I cried just as much as I did for Doomsday. Just when the Doctor thought he'd found someone else to care for after losing Rose, he loses the Master. He was even willing to stop wandering to look after him. And the Rose references were very obviously the build-up to that loss.

And good for you Martha Jones! I've gone through this entire season aggravated with her crush-thing and selfishness, but the writers actually did something with it and resolved it. She finally understood that she can't waste any more of the precious time she has in her life chasing a guy that won't (or possibly can't) love her back. I'm so proud that it was her that solved the problem by herself and is a much wiser person because of it. She's now a person I can like and I actually now can't wait for her to come back to see how she's doing. Especially to see if she got together with that dashing young Tom person .

WTF, The Doctor himself said the hordes of Ghanges Khan can't crash into the TARDIS but the Titanic can??? (hilarious ending nontheless though )

I always took that look in Doomsday as a very amused 'yeah RIGHT of course there was no one else...' sort of look and then that extremely loving and proud look when Pete mentions bringing up Rose... but I haven't watched Doomsday in a loooong time so that might not be the glance you were talking about...

I hesitated between a glance to Rose and that. I think it's my slightly biased view that might make me lean more towards the first option.

Weeeell...I don't really think the Doctor would've been that cynical about Jackie's comment, mainly because I think the Doctor did believe Pete and Jackie belonged together. Like when he commented in Rise of the Cybermen "two universes and none of 'em gets it write" and in Doomsday when he tries to convince Pete that there's another Jackie for him in his universe.

Yeah, in fact, I actually thought it was Mrs. Moore at first glance
