DB hate is so uncalled for. :rolleyes: I just ignore it, and think about how their constant hating doesn't change the fact that DB are going to be lovely this season, whether they like it or not. :yay:

i dont necessarily see Pacey/Andie as a prop though. i thought Andie and Dawson alone were used as props, but not necessarily their relationships. Proof would be that the writers of S3 onwards were different from S1-2. P/Jo weren't in the works for the original writer till S4 so I don't believe he had P/A in mind as a prop, I really don't. I definitely thought the S3 writers made Andie and towards the end, Dawson look bad in order to push P/Jo forward more, but they didn't compare their relationship to that of their past ones, which is what I appreciated. still dont like that dawson/andie were made to look bad though.

totally agree with all of you guys about Dan. He is judgmental and i will be the first to admit to the flaw, but other than that, he is amazing. he is selfless, he is caring, he is sweet... goes on and on. he has a huge moral compass and sometimes even breaks it, but never to great extremes. always tame and he always regrets it after. i adore him.

I think the writers destroyed Andie's character by making her cheat on Pacey in order to prop PJ, that's what I consider a prop but I agree, their relationship didn't start off as a prop. And I think her cheating ruined the great PA relationship that was created a season earlier. So in essence, the writers completely torn down a couple in such an OOC kind of way in order to create another couple.

I don't want to see that on GG at all with DB. I wish the writers would let them have a natural relationship. 'Cause I think that would be so fun to watch.

And the DB hate, as much as I can't stand it, I can understand it. Dan isn't just a regular third party, that's going to leave after a couple of episodes. What's going to happen with DB is going to make a huge impact on the future storylines. And I can get why people would not want this and resort to bashing to take out their frustration.

oh i totally agree about that! i LOVED pacey/andie in season 2 and although my favorite ship is PJo, i still love PA so it is disheartening that they broke up the way they did. SO OOC!

and yea, i also totally agree about the DB hate. i dont get the Dan hate, but the DB hate i DO get. i honestly feel that people hate them so much just because they genuinely fear for their own ship. they will be an actual contender to the big couples on the show, or at least they fear they might. look, i hated many non-couples because i thought the couple i shipped was so epic, so its understandable. perfect example for me is gilmore girls lol. i hated jessie and jessie/rory cuz i loved dean/rory so much :lol: i knew JR was gonna be huge and it bothered me lol. i was also like 16 at the time so i dont think this way anymore about any show.

I agree. I think when you're really loyal about a couple, any obstacle to that will be upsetting. Especially if it tends to have a huge fan base.

Thanks! I have always noticed the potential in these two. I haven't watched GG since the beginning of S3 but I always said if they were to give DB some air time I'd watch again or you know...watch their scenes on YT. :lol:

I still watch it but I don't get satisfaction that you get when you're looking forward to something and actually get it. I only watch for Blair & Dan/Blair scenes..lol. I can't wait to start getting giddy and excited about this show.

i too only watch to see if there will be any dair interaction....so far this season has been low on DB, but hopefully all that will change soon :D

I only watch their scenes on YT and if the show is randomly on while I do something else (fix hair, surf the net...). Lol. /fail.

lol i dont read much outside ff so imo its mostly ppl blinded by 'epicness' CB or Chuck. I like CB but now its clearly time 4 them to have time outside the relationship...esp 4 Chuck to realize B wont be sitting & waiting 4 him to hurt her again & again.
they praise Josh 4 giving them opportunity to hang out together :D
