 I wonder why Izzie wants to reconcile with Alex...did she talk to the Chief or she just misses him? I just hope Izzie doesn't act all self-righteous as she usually does... __________________

I can't wait to see Izzie again! It's one of those "I don't have to like them, but I still love them" situations. She has really pissed me off with how she has treated Alex, but I still have such a soft spot for the character. Plus, Katherine is such an incredible performer and I have missed her presence on the show. |

Alex is back to his old ways. He flirts with Reed, kisses and sleeps with Lexie and doesn't care about it.  I'm so mad. Shonda ruins his character completely. All the growth in season 5 was for nothing.__________________

I agree, Mai. I think he's having a "**** it" reaction, to put it bluntly. He's been holding it together the best he can, but I think he has just snapped now. Some viewers will probably use this as an excuse to say, "See! Alex hasn't really changed after all!" but I'm holding out hope Shonda has a big pay-off in store.

LOL I didn't mean for it to come out like that. I don't think it's about sex, as much as it is of feeling really let-down by Izzie. We saw in 6x06 when he was trying to call her how he was willing to let her work through her issues if she would stop pushing him away. And while we know Izzie will be back in 6x12, Alex doesn't know that. He doesn't know if she will ever be back and is feeling pretty hopeless right about now. So he's just fed up and has lost all patience/understanding, I think. This isn't condoning what he does by any means, but I think his mind-set right now is like, "What the hell am I supposed to do?"
Unfortunately, Alex has picked a bad time to react this way because Izzie is finally ready to come back, apologise, and work on their relationship. Only in television. And it's true, the poor guy hasn't gotten any for months. Last edited by I'm Not Dead; 01-10-2010 at 11:48 AM |

I understand what you're saying but it's still cheating for me. Maybe I'm a little bit old fashioned, but I'm married over 10 years and I can't understand how people can cheat when they have to deal with issues in their marriage. There are other possibilities than that.

Oh I know what you mean. But to me, Alex and Izzie aren't married. I mean yes, in the eyes of the law they are husband and wife, but they have never really acted like husband and wife in my opinion, and I think that is because they rushed into marriage so quickly.
Although......... didn't Justin say in an interview for Season 6 that "Alex has his ideas of a what a wife should be and what a husband should be, and those ideas might be different from what Izzie thinks a husband and wife should be". Maybe that's what's going on But as for the cheating, this is Grey's Anatomy and cheating is just a way of life on this show! |
