The C/A appreciation week happening on Tumblr right now is reminding me how much I love these two, because sometimes I forget. IMO they were one of the healthiest and most well suited couples on either show. They made each other better, they gave each other strength, they fell in love over time and were head over heels by the time either one realized it had happened. And we got to see it happen and build slowly over the seasons, we were able to see the signs. It felt so natural and so right. They'd have been something beautiful together and I will forever wish they'd gotten a real chance. :love: :in_love:

They were the first couple I ever shipped, before I knew what shipping was or that it even had a name. I actually watched a fair bit of Angel before I got around to BtVS, and I was instantly drawn in by their quirky friendship and quiet support of each other, no dramatics or cliches. B/A just seemed so overdramatic in comparison when I eventually watched Buffy, I don't buy the so called epic love at first sight couples. I much preferred watching Angel and Cordelia's relationship grow and strengthen, it was enchanting to see how naturally she could make broody Angel smile just by being herself, and she called him on his crap and refused to let him drown in his darkness. She was exactly what he needed, his perfect match. S4 tore my heart in half, but at least they got a wonderful episode in S5 to make up for all that, their love for each other was so clear. I just wish they'd gotten a chance at being together properly, even just for a little while. :in_love:
