Caroline/Stefan I know I've pretty much given up on TVD, but the Julie interview gives me hope for at least their friendship to be treated with the respect it deserves and maybe finally remembered instead of being plainly ignored.
Matt/Caroline don't have much hope here but still it would be nice if they actually keep having moments because I like it when two great characters who have nice chemistry and some history interact and share scenes. + Nathan/Haley I don't usually fall for this type of ships involving bad boy and good girl (the only one of those I shipped handcore was Buffy/Spike but I could write paragraphs and paragraphs on why they have so little to do with this stereotype and how Spike was far from a bad boy stereotype just as much was extremely far from a good girl cliche and both characters as well as their story was so much more complex and layered than that), but these two brought this kind of a story on a whole new level where it looked so organic and natural, making a way for incredible development of both charactes as individuals and together. The beauty and strength that their relationship went hand in hand with trust and bonding and getting to know each other every minute of their lives - in fact, even after years of being happily married, after having to overcome all the possible obstacles and dealing with loads of issues that often lead to breaking up when it comes to other couples, these two still had something new to learn about one another, and they always had something to talk about, something to share, something to smile and cry about together. They had the world to share with one another, they were best friends, lovers, kindred spirits, each other's shoulder, each other's everything. And even their ending was in fact just another beginning for them - and they are going to have many, many of those beginnings together for as long as they live One of the other reasons why they are one of my OTP's is that it's nice to have a couple that did everything right from start to finish despite all the numerous flaws of the show they come from. credit __________________
