Just the way Farkle is with the girls annoys me sometimes....I hope he grows out of it. & I feel like Auggie is just the 'cute kid', hopefully we'll see more of his actual personality as he grows older

Yeah, I'm trying to give the writers the benefit of the doubt & that they'll deal with it at some point - I mean, there was a time where Shawn didn't treat girls that well at all, but he learnt it was not ok & his behavior changed afterwards & we've not seen him act that way since. So hopefully they'll do something similiar with Farkle.

You know, you would think I would love Riley because she's the daughter of Cory and Topanga but this show really paints her so pathetic who is so gaga over Lucas. Every time she does it, it makes me cringe.

I actually find her endearing I think she's just in her awkward stage in life right now. She'll probably grow out of it eventually

I agree, the Riley/Lucas thing is a bit too much, but hopefully they are just showing that she's young & inexperienced, but she'll learn hot to deal with crushes & things. One thing the writers said that did worry me a little, was about how big Riley's heart is & that they had to protect that - she has to experience broken hearts at some point, it's an important part of growing up & she will be a better person for it. They almost make it sound like they just want to give her a fairytale though....

Cory & Topanga had to go through hard times like that, & they learnt a lot from the times they were apart and the work they needed to put into their relationship if they wanted it to be a happy, lasting one. Like I said, it's a learning curve.

Yeah, but you see, Cory and Topanga were young and found each other attractive and even they had their first kiss at the lockers when they were just kids, they weren't that bad like Riley was with Lucas. Lucas seems very sane and calm which is why it makes easier to like him with anyone but when Riley is being like that, it makes it so hard to like them when she does something like this to make you cringe. Cory and Topanga were her age when they started to like each other and they were not that bad. It's just, she has a big heart, I can see that, but you can control yourself with all of that. She should know how to handle her crushes but this show makes it hard to do that.

I know that Lucas and Riley would be like next Cory and Topanga, obviously the way this show is going for, but just make her not like that version where girls would swoon over guys' feet easily like that and expect to do anything what they say or do. It's so pathetic and cringe- worthy to watch.

When the writers said they were going to protect her heart, they were referring to Maya and Lucas ever becoming a thing while Riley still likes him. They said they wouldn't hurt her that way because Maya wouldn't do that to her. I don't think they mean that they'll never have her go through something that will hurt her. They even said that Riley will cry this upcoming season. So no worries. Not everything is going to be peaches and sunshine for her

I knew it was a reply to a Lucas/Maya question, but it did still bug me because it did make it seem like they were going to spare her from any heartache. Which won't do her, the writing or the audience any favors.

I wasn't comparing Cory/Topanga to Riley/Lucas, just saying that we saw Cory & Topanga go through heartbreaks, & I want to see the same thing with Riley. We have to, it's part of growing up. I'm with you on Riley/Lucas, I find them boring when the writers try to push a love story between them. & it bugs me when people compare them to Cory/Topanga, they can't hold a candle to them!

Nobody can ever hold candle to Cory&Topanga. Not even their daughter can top that. But yeah, I want Riley to experience heartbreaking and heartache and everything, that will help her grow up and be a bit different person than she was. That's part of growing up so I am all for it.

I don't think Lucas and Maya are gonna hook up because Maya is her best friend and this show doesn't paint Lucas as jerk who would go from one girl to her best friend like that. He might get on with a random girl or something or that he ends it with her because of his own reasons, anything like that so she will experience all of that and it'll help her grow up.

Of course, in the end, Lucas and Riley will get back together. And the actress who plays Riley even said that Lucas is Cory to her and Riley is Topanga to him.
