Interesting and well-stated thoughts. i think it reminds me of why I don't think Edward is all that good for Bella. (To throw in a different fandom.) Creepy-stalker screams unhealthy no matter what.

By the way, it's just me, but I hate, hate, hate relationship portmanteaus (yeah, I'm looking at you "Spuffy", "Cangel", "Bangel"). That above things drives me bonkers, and I might be destined to be that way since it looks like they're not going away. And no, I'm not complaining on anyone's 'ship, just the need to smoosh the names together.

I guess it's the little things that make the difference (like the latter having the potential to have a healthy relationship, both being mortal and warm-blooded, actual having some sexual chemistry...) Sorry to rip into your ship so much. I just want it to die in a ball of fire, s'all. EDIT: Also, it kinda annoyed me that after they completely tied up and buried Buffy's romance with an ensouled vampire, they decided that her next big love interest should be.... an ensouled vampire. Variety is the spice of life, people.

Pormanteaus save time and sometimes they're cute (Like LoVe or Puckleberry). But most of the time I use initials.

i actually prefer biley slightly more than bange,l considering that i hate both pairings that isn't saying much though

Portmanteaus just make typing quicker and reading easier. It's a lot easier on the eyes to see:

"I prefer Bangel to Spuffy, but my favourite Buffy ship is Fuffy."

rather than:

"I prefer Buffy/Angel to Buffy/Spike, but my favourite Buffy ship is Buffy/Faith."

Though I only really use them if they're common, universally-recognised ship names like Bangel, Spuffy, Cangel, Xanya, etc.

i used to not hate biley until he was doing what ever he was doing with the vampiress and then he has the neverve to come back and act all sanctimonious when he found out about her and spike

and i don't hate c/g either they just do nothing for me but get in the way of cangel but groo was sweet so i can't hate him

Ugh. I do hate him in that S6 epp. But I always forget he's around for even 5 seconds that season. I wanted his head on a stick when he broke up mah bb's.

s4 i don't pay him a whole lot of attention and he was better for her than angel. she seemed i don't know maybe a tiny bit happier or something but it would have never been a long term thing i don't think cause he just did not have what it took to really understand her like spike did

same thing with cordy/groo
had she not been demonised and jasmine already having some small presence because of it then cordy would have gotten bored with groo before they ever went away
i honestly think they yes princess, no princess thing would have drove her crazy plus he was not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed and cordy was not a stupid person, i think that is why she enjoyed being with angel, doyle, wes, and gunn she also seemed to enjoy lorne's company as well and i think it was because she could hold a coversation...with groo he would give her that big innocent smile and then show how lost he was in this world
