Rachel told him in Barbados that they "have such a great time together" and they understand each other better than anyone (they laughed at the same things)



Joey acted like a second father to Emma. It was adorable. The whole experience really matured him.


His protective nature when Rachel was pregnant was ADORABLE (when she has braxton hicks contractions)


Their friendship scenes in Season 7 were adorable

& Joey was so good with Emma, he would have been the perfect step-father to her, & then an amazing dad when they had more kids

That episode in Season 9 where Joey was threatening Emma to give back the real Hugsy was EPIC. "THIS ISN'T OVER!"

Oh, that is one of my favorite episodes. I had to google it recently, so I could watch that particular episode.

I also agree about Joey as a dad. He would have been great. I am sure he would have been a great, understanding step dad.

He would have, he had so much growth getting close to Rachel, it was one of the most satisfying character arcs on the show

I enjoyed watching Joey as a potential step-father to Emma more than I did watching Ross as her actual father. Sounds twisted but Joey's caring behavior towards Rachel in that whole pregnancy storyline was the most mature set of scenes from any of the main characters in this show.

I agree. Well, one of them. I also have to give props to Chandler and him stepping up when they couldn't have kids and well, getting to the point, that he wanted them.

I agree, it's his after all. I wish we saw more with Joey and Emma.

Yes she did, haha.... I don't think Joey would have thought of it. But he could have mentioned having trouble sleeping cause of Rach and then told her what happened. Not knowing, she would use the info to get Rach.
