All this negativity is making me too annoyed to even bother. Can we just wait until the last episodes then decide if we've been screwed over. You don't need to still be apart of the show in order to go to conventions. I mean the guy who played Mayor Lockwood went to Eyecon and he was killed off last season. :nod:

I've been through this a million times before with shows. I just thought TVD was different. I thought TC were popular enough that they'd actually get a chance and wouldn't be cut off before they even got a chance. I know they keep comparing them to R&J, but they haven't even gotten a chance to really be like that yet.

I would have been squeeing had it not been for the finale description...but I can't help it now...but I'll try to be quiet now.

i thought about that the other day. caroline would be all upset because she thought he was dead and then it turns out its not tyler but jules. i would love that. because im pretty sure there gonna kill off jules.

Caroline isn't upset at all in the finale though. She's having picnic lunches and going to the movies.

I can't help it. I just think they've treated MT horribly this season, so none of this has surprised me.

I don't think they treated him horribly this season. Compared to last season he had so much material to work with. As much as it sucks that he wasn't on for the last few episodes I think for storyline purposes it was the right thing to do because when he comes back it's going to be awesome. Absence makes the heart grow fonder you know.

I don't want to be cocky but I have no doubt in my mind that he will be in season 3. Even though most of us don't have faith in the writers, I strongly believe they wouldn't have build TC up as much as they did if they had no intentions of going forward with it.

I'm just happy Tyler is back and Matt is revealed to be a scumbag, assuming Caroline is going to get her spine back. But I can't see it happening any other way;

I think we'll have some good TC interaction. I feel it. I can't see them building them up all for nothing. And with the introduction of a werepire, why kill off you're only regular werewolf? Klaus is going to stay into the third season and he's probably still going to try to awaken is werewolf side. Wouldn't it make sense to keep a werewolf? With all of this "werewolf+vampire=super bad!ass" I don't see them killing Tyler. I don't.

I think season 3 will only reinforce their relationship. It will only bring the vamp vs wolf storyline further and make the stakes even higher for Caro/Tyler to be a couple.

But I promise, if it doesn't go the way we want it to, I'll offer the pessimists my own plate of you told me so.

For now though, I'm going to be basking in the happiness of MT's return.
