I didn't explain myself very well. That's what I meant...I never understood why Mary didn't accept marrying Bash if Henry gave him a tittle. She would still get french support, the protection, the armies...I'm sure if she wrote to her mother about it she would've eventually agreed. She just turned it down without batting an eyelash and ripped everything away from Francis without a second thought. Maybe I'm missing something, I admittedly didn't pay that much attention during 1x10/1x11 and the whole "the pope said no" thing. Was that to the annulment or to the legitimization? I can't even remember. But maybe she'll think about taking it now since there's no way Bash will be heir to the throne?

I agree with you there, Mary's argument about "the prophecy" doesn't have a leg to stand on with Marie.

I'm still thinking that Francis has something to do with Marie's return. I don't want to believe that Francis would be so passive when his life is going to hell. It would be completely ooc for him to just party it up and gamble his pain away, instead of doing something to get his life back. He is Catherine's son after all. He must have something planned. Besides, Henry did say "God have mercy on you" to Bash...and I felt that was a heavy anvil to drop.
