I think I meant "favorite fight" in a fun way, but it's interesting to see the answer for the "worst" fight, too. I absolutely agree that the fight between Brian and Mikey in S5 is the worst. I hated when they weren't speaking, and Brian was trying to make up and Mikey wasn't having it. EVEN Ben started trying to encourage Mikey to talk to him again. I love that scene when Brian's driving Ben after the candlelight vigil. The characters never really had a moment like that before.
I enjoyed reading through all of your faves too ~ You have been working hard!! You mentioned Deb and Brian’s scene where she talked to him about the fight with Michael. That’s a great one~ I also love the “You love him, don’t you?” And the “I’ve never been prouder of you.” “Thanks mom.”

Fave fight: I also love the one you chose bc it went on and on....
The one between Ted and Em about the porn site was too

Saddest/worst: Deb and Vic’s right before he passed and the aftermath

Also~ when Brian went to confront his sister about her son and his mom is there. He cannot fathom that his mom and sis really believe he abused his nephew. It hurt him so much. His voice breaks as he says “...and F you, mom”.

Haha, I did work hard! This is IMPORTANT! I'm glad you enjoyed reading.

I also love the "You love him, don't you?" Sooo good. Yet Brian goes on to deny it for several more years... And YES, when Brian says, "Thanks, ma." ahhhhhh...warms my heart.

Agreed, the fight about the porn site was entertaining, too. And yeah, the Deb/Vic fight before his death is tragic. Can't imagine something more guilty than telling someone off and never having a chance to apologize...

Oh goodness...that whole thing with Brian's nephew accusing him. So ridiculous. His family actually think so lowly of him that they'd believe that little punk. And yes, heartbreaking to see Brian hurt like that.

the fight between Vic and Debbie really was heartbreaking.. it teaches us one thing.. don't leave without getting clear with each other, you never know.. it could be too late..

at the moment I can't remember the pornsite fight

but what was kind of funny was the fight Ted had with Em about Dijon Em wanting the advice from his bff instead his lover and Ted switching between the lover who was hurt and mad, and the bff who understands Em

So true. You never know if you won't see someone again...

And ha, that is a good one between Ted and Em! I was so mad at Em for doing that to Ted, especially so early on! But if anyone could've handled it, at the same time, it was Ted...

For fights--the worst to me is also Debbie and Vic because it's so sad because they never got to make up.

What breaks my heart too, even though it's technically not a fight, is when Brian throws Justin out of his loft when he finds out that Justin knows about his cancer.

Both heartbreaking fights, indeed. I feel equally heartbroken for Brian and Justin in that one, cause Brian doesn't know how to let people in or that someone could love him if he's flawed/sick. That's so tragic. And Justin's just trying to love him...

I would love to know everyone's favorite season! And perhaps favorite episode (or a couple of favorites if you can't pick!)

Yes exactly!!

Ooooh favourite season---this is so difficult because they're all really good. I feel like I gravitate towards two and three the most.

Favourite episodes is even harder ahhh!! I like the Pride episode, that was great. I know there are so many more I love.

I'm a bit partial to season 1, currently. There's a goofy humor charm that's so good throughout that I don't think was totally recaptured in the other seasons. (I've noticed this with other TV shows, too.) But at the same time, season 1 feels a little bit colder(?) in a way? Probably because we haven't yet seen as much depth to all of the characters. Or maybe because a lot of season 1 was taken from the UK version and reenacted (in a much better way ). I like some of the light-heartedness of season 1, before everything gets super serious and they go heavy on the drama.

I also LOVE the dynamic between Brian and Michael in the very early episodes. I was sad to see that start to drift as early as season 2. I thought their friendship was so awesome, especially Brian smoking on Dr. Dave's desk and insisting, "He is my business. And he's gonna be my business long after you're gone." Ahhhh. Over-protective/possessive Brian is my fave. ...I also have to admit that I was a strong Michael/Brian shipper during my first watch-through. *hides from everyone* (From my research, it seems I'm alone in that, on this board, which is OK. I just have to get it off my chest. ) But part of me still is... though now I'm a huge Britin fan as well. Don't get me wrong, Brian belongs with Justin in a romantic/sexual sense. I just need like an alternate ending. I would love and watch both over and over again.

Pretty much seasons 1-3, with me leaning more towards season 3. I have to admit on my first watch of the show, I was still in the "Brian's a jerk" mode when Ethan came along, and I wanted Justin to get with him. Of course, watching the second (and now third ) time through I'm all "Go away, Ethan!" But I do know that it's important to B/J's relationship, plus Brian's meddling in their relationship was great.

My favorite episode has to be the "Lover's Spit" episode (I don't know the official titles) when B/J get back together. Other than that I also love the "Pride" episode and Mel/Linds' wedding, especially for the fight between Ted and Michael.

I looooove the episode when Michael sneaks to Brian's loft and lies to Dr. Dave and they have that interaction on the floor and Brian's like, "What is he afraid I'll steal you away from him?" One of my favorite moments of the whole show.

Season 4 just seemed like so much ridiculously heartbreaking sadness shoveled on top of one thing after another. And of course season 5 is the end... I do love it, though, in a very bittersweet way.

I loved your thoughts!!

LOL a Brian/Michael shipper, how dare?! Kidding!! I mean, we knew Michael wanted Brian, for a really long time, at least until Ben. But to an extent, Brian always had a hold on him.

I was the same during my first watch. I mean, I loved Brian and B/J but I was also regularly asking when the hell Brian was going to stop being such an a**hole. But now it's more like--Brian is sad and misunderstood, you leave him alone!!

My favorite Michael and Ben moment is when they were in that Toronto bar while traveling for the triathlon, and Michael accepted Ben's proposal. It's so romantic how that unfolded.

"I do..." then he asks Ben if he heard it. And then they kiss passionately when it finally registers in Ben's mind what Michael is saying.

I'll post some more of my favorite things when I think about them some more.

Hahaha...I'm glad that was the first reaction I got. I was expecting to be exiled. Totally agree, Brian always had a bit of a hold on him.

And YES! You have to get a good way into the series to realize that Brian is misunderstood and has a lot of pain in his life. And to see him working through that and evolving...is to become a BK lover forever.

oh no.. noone gets exiled here just because he likes Brian/Michael .. and if somebody would do it, he would get in trouble

It as the same for me.. the first time I really started to get annoyed of the way Brian treated people.. but with the second watch it changed.. that is what makes that show so brilliant.. it has a completly different effect on you after the first watch
