The disconnect between Brian and his dad is so real. Tragic how he's coming to Brian with this awful news (very sad)... and it doesn't seem Brian really knows how to process this.
 He wants to feel bad, but you can feel tension between them, and Brian's so conflicted. __________________

I don't think Ted is all that boring, he's just careful. He is predictable, though. After all, he's just experienced a drug overdose some not too many episode ago. I'd be intimidated by the fast life, too.

He was a terrible father, all around. That's why I feel so satisfied in the scene that Brian and him share later, when he comes out to him.
