I think this goes for many "groups" of people. They seem to have a sense of entitlement just because they are part of "this" group (race, gender, sexual identity).

I agree that Brian got it right. He handled it very maturely and let Kip know that he's just not ready. He didn't say never, he said not yet. He acknowledged that Kip was good at what he did, but was not ready to be promoted. I thought it was really bad form that Kip filed a complaint. It was desperate and distasteful.

On the flip side, THAT scene was really hot!

P.S. At 2:52 the letter opener hits the floor, then is immediately back on the desk.
I would have to agree with all of this. All groups tend to feel a sense of entitlement at times, but they're not owed anything just because they can related in a certain way. I think Brian handled it well.

OMG, that makes the third time I've watched that scene in two days.

"Yeah, that too."

OMG you're right about the letter opener!! I'm going to notice that every time now.

Gay people need to show straight people who don't like what we do in bed that we can and should be ethical in all areas of our lives. That means no special treatment for co-workers.
That sense of entitlement in Kip was strong. Brian couldn't make decisions based off of collectivism alone. He couldn't promote or demote somebody with this sense of "We're the same, therefore, you should have my back", when he wasn't qualified enough. So I can appreciate where Brian's coming from here. Brian shouldn't have slept with him, though, that was wrong. A big mistake, and he certainly abused his position. Brian should have just said no.

But then we wouldn't have that super hot glass desk scene.

This is very true.

Oh...and might I say that Brian's back is looking mighty strong?

He certainly was taking care of himself. And...-other- parts of him were looking pretty strong, too.

Loved his arms and his back in this scene! All muscley and strong. I actually prefer these types of muscles instead of the really big ones.

Jim, we missed you too

Brian absolutly did the right thing. He was honest and he showed Kip that success had to be earned with hard work and not playing the "ou owe me"-card.. and that is not just for gay people.. it should work that way in every job.. I also don't like when women drool over their boss to get a better job..

I experienced that myself.. a collegue of mine was all good friends with me and invited me to hang out and come over.. and I realised too late that it was because I was the sister of the boss.. when she got fired.. all of a sudden my friendship wasn't wanted anymore.. that lesson was learned the hard way

and Brian was always one who aprooved hard work.. would Kip kept up with his good job, I'm sure a year or two later Brian would have given the suggestions for a better job

It's true that this sex scene was all sorts of sexy, but it, in turn, brought on a whole set of problems that would get Brian way in over his head.

And Gale's/Brian's body was the TRUTH here.
