So I'm not sure if how many of you know but on the board for The L Word, there is a thread for lesbianism on other shows where we talk about female subtext. So I thought we could talk about male subtext.

Some of my favorites:

Everwood: Andy/Harold, Bright/Ephram
The OC: Seth/Zach, Seth/Ryan
Desperate Housewives: Andrew/Justin

So just discuss whatever your heart desires provided it's about male subtext (or text) on other shows.

I am a major major Seth/Ryan slasher. I tend to only do that when I think there is some sexual tension laying beneath the surface and man these two would be perfect for each other

Well if you can get past the age thing, Boone and Locke are definatly quiet shippy, at least on Boone's part. Shannon tends to say things that make you wonder too.

Seth/Ryan are my most major maleslash ship, I've been into them since day one of the show and they're pretty much the only maleslash fic that I read. I've seen some really good ones too. I thought last week's episode was especially slashy with the rain scene between them and Summer telling Seth that their relationship couldn't compare with his and Ryan's.

The guy on Joan of Arcadia was Mike Erwin, I've just seen a cap, someone takes a pic with a camera phone of them making out. Not sure who the other boy is.

Yeah, I remember seeing that. The other guy was Teddy Marks played by Kyle Patrick. (Just looked on TV Tome)

and Bright/Ephram is definitely slashy. Sometimes I'm just thinking, ok kiss already.

David Gallagher in 7th Heaven and his friend Morris. I don't know the actor's name. And it was like 2 or 3 seasons ago, but it was there.

No, Mike was a one-shot deal. So was Teddy Marks. Mike was the client story of the week. A jock hiding about his sexuality.

Other than The OC I haven't felt any slashy love elsewhere. I've just started watching Lost so I need some time to suss out the characters

jack/sawyer are my slashy faves of lost. it's not very obvious, esp compared to boone/locke which is definitely very slashy & i'm still not convinced that boone isn't at least bi - jack/sawyer make my heart go fast. they may seem to hate each other, but they definitely are somewhat fascinated by the other & in some ways they're very similar.

Star, yeah Simon and Morris had some crazy subtext on 7th Heaven, somewhat like how Mac and Martin are now. I've read a ton of S/M fanfic though. It's good stuff, I love how they write them.

Anyone watch Degrassi? Marco kissed Craig on a recent episode, it was hot.

As for everyone who's feeling the Seth/Ryan love, I'm feeling it too even if I am a Seth/Summer fan.
