I'm not going to argue with you about Hoffman and Pacino, because I'tm not really a fan of either.
 Because Gale is method, he has a need to understand his character fully, and question motives of the characters. Sometimes with a shorter filming time, it can be annoying to the directors. __________________

OK - confession time. Peeking through my fingers I took a chance on G/R RPS.
Gale is fey. There's no other way to describe him. So, I read a story called Rubber Ducky. Randy and Gale are talking on the phone. Gals's taking a bath. Randy wants Gale to entertain him so Gale starts singing Rubber Ducky. Can't you picture him singing that??? Hysterical. Then, he'd wanted to use bath oil in the tub and Randy warned him if it spilled the floor would get slippery. So, they're still on the phone and Randy hears Gale get out of the tub. All of a sudden Randy hears like a crash. Gale slipped on the bath oil and almost broke his skull. I'm laughing so hard right now I can barely type. Brian? NO Gale?? ABSOLUTELY. I'm reading a fic that takes place in 2019. I keep picturing Gale and Randy at the conventions and meet and greets so I can see B/J in my mind's eye at 49 and 36. They're still very yummy and in the story they're still very insatiable!!!
