Interesting thing about the first episode of "Villains" chapter is how different it was suppose to be.:eek: However, because of the writers strike, the whole storyline changed.:eek:

S01E07, the one where Peter's father is telling Sylar that Angela tried to kill him when he was a baby, and the father has already taken away Peter's power.
OH really? the writers strike affected lots of shows

^ I hated that storyline so much... because I felt the writers just wanted Sylar to be the strongest character.:shrug: Hated it so much... I think Tim Kring said that Peter was too power.... but umm... isn't Sylar? but okay...:blank:

Yes the writers strike messed up a lot of things because Season 2 was suppose to be 24 episodes with 3 volumes.;)
Also, there was going to be a Heroes spinoff series called, Heroes: Origins:eek: Because Heroes was so popular at the time.

In the end of "Powerless" volume, Peter was NOT suppose to catch the virus.:eek: It was going to spread instead... and Nathan would have got affected instead of shot.;) So during the press conference he actually faints because he is affected by the virus....
Claire sees that Peter is alive because she sees him on tv and she says, "Oh my god, Peter you're alive." that was suppose to lead into, ""Exodus" volume and THAN "Villains" was suppose to close out Season 2....

Sadly when the writers strike finally was over months later, all the plans were erased because of how long the strike lasted.:cry:

Season 3 came and the fans stopped caring about the show and the ratings never recovered of course which lead to it getting cancelled after Season 4....
So, clearly Heroes is the show that suffered the most because of the writers strike...

I think the alternative ending is even on DVD for the volume....

It shows how much different things would have been in season 2 but instead, some of those scenes were used for Season 3 and remade or re-edited for a different story...

It's what I get from it too... like they wanted to tone down Peter's power so they took it away... but by letting Sylar keep all his powers than it was really not the best of moves

That sounds like season 2 could have been very interesting. Because the way it was, the season was a long drag that got resolved quickly and just was frustrating (I think that's why I quit the show the first time)

I'm only watching the episodes, haven't checked any extras on the dvds yet... but I'll look for it :nod:

Heroes: Origins was suppose to start airing during the hiatus between Volume 2 and 3.:( And characters from the original could have appeared.:bawl:
I think it was suppose to explain that Nikki symbol.;)

I think Season 2 would've got better because the network and the showrunners were hearing the complaint about the show and of course it would have gotten better as it moved along, as it was starting too in those last few episodes... but instead everything had to get rushed and they had to change the ending.:blank:

It just makes me a bit bitter because the show would've been so completely different.:eek:

Yeah, seems like things really would've been a lot different!! and interesting :thud:

It would've been nice to know more about that symbol, it felt so important in season 1 and then it just got forgotten
