While Johnathan is obviously named after Johnathan Kent, Jordan is named after Jor-El.

Jon Kent hasn't existed in the comics all that long actually. So I think with the tv shows they just said "F it" they can do whatever they want. lol With Lois and Clark it's always the beginning of their love story and not the middle and end so Superman & Lois did a non interference with comics version which is the middle of their love story where they are happily together and have been married for a long time.

Now when it comes to his age, Jon Kent went on a trip was sucked into a black hole, sent to another earth where it was years for him but for the nice citizens of Earth-1, it was only a few weeks so he is brought back as a teenager!

Here goes some scans of their reunion.
Lois was upset for a good while that she missed out on raising him even more. Although they were grieving for only 3 weeks because of his disappearance, the fact he came back as a teenager meant he missed a lot of his life. Unfortunately for Jon, it was years for him without his parents.

Superman & Lois show... what changed things for them is that crazy Crisis. They had one child who was a newborn, the earth got altered and they now had two teenage boys so their whole history got altered. Only Superman remembered this at first but it seems like his memory also blended in the new memories and that's his new normal now.
However, this is supposed to see the oldest in their relationship Clark and Lois we've ever watched.

But Lois and Clark's sons on the Superman and Lois show aren't the same as Jon from the comics?

Black hole that sent him to another Earth where he was then kidnapped but a person who looks a little like Superman... that terribly Ultraman who I really do not love. lol I love my villains but whatever. lol

However, Jon's popularity is why he stayed in the comics.
He got turned bisexual because we are in a world in 2022 where no one can be straight.

Well he's named after the one from the son but yeah totally different in all ways.
On the show Jonathan is the mortal like his mom; Jordan is the superpowered one like his father. I guess they got split in half of their parents since they are twins. lol
