But here is the break down on how they became popular.

First: Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz saw the Captain Canary chemistry when they were filming the trailer for the network, which was months before they filmed any footages for the show... they both said that they think their characters would probably connect the most.



Second: Wentworth Miller ASKED Caity to improvise on a scene, and asked can he lean down towards her in one of the scenes, and Caity said it's okay with her.:lol: So they turned NOTHING into something.;)

So, most likely these 2 scenes with Leonard leaning in to Sara flirtatiously is all Wentworth and NOT scripted.:lol:



Third: Episode 1x07, there was a scene when Sara, Leonard and Mick were suppose to just stand around and just talk, doing nothing. BOTH Wentworth and Caity said they aren't going to do that.:rotfl: They are just going to sit and play some gin. :lol:

Fourth: Captain Canary became popular after the Pilot actually but of course episodes 1x01 - 1x06 were already filmed before the Pilot aired.:eek: So, the writers had no clue when writing those episodes how popular they would become... Which means Wentworth and Caity pretty much were smart. :lol: They became so popular that people kept tweeting about them and the released the deleted Captain Canary scene, and it was their REAL first meeting.:thud:

Fifth: The biggest Captain Canary ship on the writers staff was Sarah Nicole Jones.:nod: And wanted to make sure Sara's bisexualness stay on the show when season 2 (early in season 2) was trying to erase it....She gave the Captain Canary fans hope and told us that there is a chance for their storyline to continue....
Unfortunately she left the show BEFORE Wentworth return arc in season 2.... :(
