I wonder what his workout routine was? I saw Christopher Reeve's routine. Dean Cain was a football player, so there's that.

Well, during filming Tom wouldn't have had much time for proper workouts. For the early seasons at least it would've not made much sense for him to be too bulked up since Clark is just a teenager. Christopher Reeve worked extremely hard to bulk himself up before filming for the first film began. And yeah, Dean Cain was a football player so would have had a fairly good physique already.

I think Tom could've done workouts while filming. Jennifer Garner had to do them while filming Alias. So did Stephen Amell during Arrow.

mmm, but just because those two were able to fit it in around their schedules didn't mean Tom could. It made sense for Stephen to do all that workout since he did a majority of the stunts on Arrow and you would see Oliver working out a lot on the show. Tom on the other hand, didn't need to be that bulked up.
