a life of a teacher is not easy...especially if you are single. I remember making 800 plus a week plus some rent money from government... and was still unhappy at times b/c "what's the point if I don't have anyone to share it with." This is why a lot of celebrities get married fast.... they have money, but nobody to love them every day.

Of course I lived a high life style at that time going out to eat and movies with my late great aunt and also shopping. My late aunt lived a high life style too...she loved to travel and dine out a lot.

Miros...thanks for the compliment on tpam:hug:

It's not about the money, Dave, it's about the time. Kids start coming next Wednesday and Meet the Teacher night is on Monday. I've been working nonstop for the past two weeks, but still have so much to do! I know it will get better when kiddos actually start. Of course it'll be busy, but not as busy because getting ready for a new school year is always the biggest time of the year for teachers. I just want to sleep. lol Sorry I've been a horrible poster and mod lately. I am a teacher. Can that be my excuse? I promise it is just the month of August and maybe a little into September that will be a busy time, but after that things should go slower. Also I am new to the position and new to the district, so not many can help me. I am the only classroom of my kind at my school.

I'm glad you enjoy your job with the kids Cpeedy… I worked with learning disabled high school kids...many of them didn't want to be in tutoring.... so that made my job difficult .Being a teacher is time consuming; it's not a 9-5 job

7:35 - 3:45 are our contract hours. You know we spend a whole lot more than that each day! I'll be going up there both days this weekend. Though bulletin boards may be up, I still got some lesson plans and scheduling to do, both of which I haven't started. lol So this weekend, I'll be busy doing those. And printing worksheets for different subjects so we will have something to do the first week.

Cpeedy...you'll be prepared to lead an army in battle by the time your school year stars :thud:

Our principal and his dad was even at the school today! Such dedication.

I requested a MST. I haven’t even started my lesson plans!
