Seriously Chloe risked her life for Clark in a way where you know she will never disappoint you. Clark does not know how lucky he is to have her in his life >)

I think he knows it and cares about Chloe more than he wants to admit, he's just not man enough to face it and hides behind his "love" for Lana.
