Laurel should've been given the storyline that went to Sara, and Sara Lance should never have existed at all. The only reason Sara was created was so that there was someone for Laurel to inherit the Black Canary mantle from, since originally in Arrow, there was no Golden Age or Justice Society, and Laurel's mother was not the original Black Canary. It wasn't until Legends of Tomorrow that the Justice Society and the previous generation of superheroes were revealed, which makes the reasons for not letting Laurel's mom, Dinah Drake Lance, be the original Black Canary redundant.  And then they even went so far as to create an entirely new Dinah Lance on Arrow. The writers were spiraling out of control trying to fix their mistakes. Oh, and I also agree with you about Caity Lotz. I loved Katie Cassidy, but I do think that if Caity Lotz had been cast as Laurel she'd have been a much better character, since Oliver/Sara ended up being as popular as Oliver/Felicity. Fans were infuriated when they killed off Sara so that Laurel could inherit the mantle, something that wouldn't have been necessary if they'd just made Laurel's mom the original Black Canary. Anyway, back to Smallville.  I haven't gotten to the seasons where Justin's Oliver is with Dinah Lance, the Black Canary, but I still think it's unfair the way she was treated on Smallville, from everything I've heard. Especially the stuff with Chloe. That's just... no.  __________________

I loved Oliver so much during this series so when this was an extra feature on the DVDs I quickly watched it.
I am watching them as I post them.
