^ Yes!
If you delete the poorly done Lana arc and the Doomsday episode, this is my favorite season.

This season just had such an great start. And then after the Legion episode, the writers stopped learning how to write.

It really feels like 8x01 - 8x11 / 8x15 - 8x21 had a whole set of writers from the ones who wrote episodes 8x12 - 8x14, and 8x22.

Just confusing.

Yeah I really enjoyed season 8, it felt like it had one of the best seasonal arcs they ever did with Davis, it's just a shame how it ultimately got resolved in the finale

Agreed! Like I remember watching the start of Season 8 with so much excitement. It was finally like Clark was becoming a hero! the Superman we all knew he would become. The storylines were written so perfectly and then............. Lana came back and they didn't know how to write Clark anymore. All the character development left from Clark and he regressed from being a selfish hero and the season started to go downhill. It was so tough to watch. However, it improved again at 8x15 but that last episode. Still can't get over it.

^ Well it was mostly a great season. The disappointment of the season only comes from 4 episodes. Doomsday episode really ruined the whole season in a way. It was mostly a great season though.
