Like the title, bickering is okay if you're 11 years old, but after puberty sets in...I'm still so psyched over that Mugglenet essay...

The person that wrote that editorial put a lot of thought and time in the conclusions that were made. I'm happy to say that I agreed with all that was written and not just because I'm an H/Hr shipper. I am first and foremost a Harry fan, I love his character and these books are about HIM most of all and his journey. As the writer said, why would JKR write a romance that didn't involve Harry? And why would he be with anyone else but Hermione, the girl that means the most to him and who he has the strongest connection with? Harry may have had some teenage lust going on (his crush on Cho) but JKR put that to rest at the end of OotP...now he's growing up more, he's smart enough to realize what a relationship is meant to be plus the fact that his life is filled with grownup decisions and dangers...it wouldn't be in Harry's character to not want a relationship with someone who is his equal. And Hermione is most definitely that!

None of us know how the books will turn out in the end but I'm convinced that if JKR intends to write romance in the story, it will be Harry's. I said a while back that because the books are written from Harry's POV, it only makes sense to write a romance that would involve him (also pointed out in the essay). That essay was dead-on and brilliant. As the title of the essay says "Who does Hermione love?" JKR has shown us in so many ways that it is Harry. Now all Hermione has to do is wait for him to catch on!

Her love for him will be his power, I just know it!

Sharon I totally agree with you, but I don't know JKR is very tricky..she means one thing at first than another. I am a huge Aurora fan, but I always have this possiblity that R/Hr might get together..it will hurt my Aurora heart..but what Can we do.

I don't know if you guys see Smallville but in the last episode Lana Lang (First Love of Clark Kent) thought that Clarck and Loise Lane were dating, but Clarck tried to clarify that he can't stad her because she is Bossy, Rude, Abnoxious, and so on and that he can't stand her. So Lana smiled and Said, "Clark the Best ones always start out this way."

And I was like..OMG R/Hr..NOOOOOOOO...why? I felt bad that day becasue eventually we know that Clark falls inlove with Loise Lane and becomes Mrs. Superman...lol Aghhhh I just hope its not the same for Hermione and Ron.

I think that Ron and Hermione will get together in the end...and I'm angry about what I've seen in the R/Hr thread because they are calling us delusional people. We're not. At least I'm not. I know what's cannon and what's not. I know that Ron loves Hermione and I think that she cares for him, to say the least. Actually I'm pretty sure they will happen in the end. So I'm not delusional, I just like the idea of what Harry/Hermione could be. They already have some many great moments together, and their personalities fit each other so well...so I think they should get together. Just because I don't want the obvious doesn't mean I'm delusional. Maybe I just have a taste that doesn't require pre-set romances and predictable couples.

It really upset me to read that over there...I was going to hang out there just to look at some pretty pictures because I think R/Hr is cute but I don't think I'll ever come back there if what they do there is attack H/Hr shippers...

I stand by what I've said.

Unless something drastically changes in Book 6 between Ron and Hermione, there will be no romance between them.

Furthermore, this is Harry's story, not the love story of Ron and Hermione.

Don't flame me but here it is...the only way Ron and Hermione will be together is if Harry does not survive his battle with Voldemort.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I will not waver from my position until I read Book 7 and JKR puts it out there for all to read. Then we'll see what happens.

Exactly SharonK Only JKR knows what's really going to happen and until she tells us what that is i will not waver from my Auror faith. I truly believe that we WILL get our moment in the end. We just need to be patient.

I know, I know It's just that I like R/Hr too...

I don't have anything against people hating a ship, I myself hate a couple of ships, but...
At the BuffyTVS forum for example, you only bash ships at Unappreciation Threads, not at Appreciation Threads. Since there are no Unnapreciation Threads they really shouldn't bash H/Hr over there because there are people, lile me, who like both ships...

I guess I'll just have to hang out at the thread with the nicest people who won't hate me for liking both ships And anyway, I'm enjoying H/Hr way more these days so I'll be fine by just hanging here

I have in the past lurked around on the Kicker thread just to read their opinions but I stopped that pretty quick for several reasons.

First I happen to be an H/Hr shipper, I love Harry with a passion and Hermione is, to me, his equal and they deserve to have a love together. I don't put Ron in either Harry or Hermione's league, romance-wise. I do think he's a solid member of the "Trio" but he's not made for Hermione.

Second, I don't think the Kickers have any compelling evidence for their ship. None. Saying "it's obvious" is in a word, silly. It isn't obvious to me. Sexual tension? Maybe, but don't most teenagers have that? The only evidence I can see of their relationship is that it is volatile and they wouldn't even be friends if not for their mutual friendship with Harry.

When I read essays on H/Hr I see solid evidence that is supported by the literature written by JKR! She's writing this story! Sure, we interpret it our way but the evidence is there for us to analyze. I'll be honest and say that I haven't read any supporting essays for R/Hr...are there any?

I trust the amazing writing talent of JKR. I want to believe I know the direction she's going...I may end up wrong but she's gonna have to write some pretty compelling stuff for me to believe Hermione will ever love Ron. I just don't believe it will happen.

We're all supposed to be supportive of each other and not bash the opposing ships. I won't bash, I choose to ignore. I don't even imagine Ron and Hermione as a couple, Ron is their friend and I hope he stays that way!

this is something from the book that is considered R/Hr-ey by Sidekicks, but I really saw it as a H/Hr thing...what do you guys think?

"Is it Cho?" she [Hermione] asked in a businesslike way. "Did she corner you after the meeting?"
Numbly surprised, Harry nodded. Ron snig.gered, breaking off when Hermione caught his eye.
"So-er- what did she want?" he asked in a mock casual voice.
"She-" Harry began, rather hoarsly; he cleared his throat and tried again. "She - er- "
"Did you kiss?" asked Hermione briskly.
Ron sat up so fast that he sent his ink bottle flying all over the rug. Disregarding this completely he stared avidly at Harry.
"Well?" he demanded.
Harry looked from Ron's expression of migled curiosity and hilarity to Hermione's slight frown, and nodded.
"Ha!"
Ron made a triumphant gesture with is fist and went into a raucous peal of laughter that made several timid-looking second years over beside the window jump. A reluctant grin spread over Harry's face as he watched Ron rolling around on the heartrug. Hermione gave Ron a look of deep disgust, and returned to her letter.
