Yeah like with their parents. They have parents who died. Although at least Luna's father is still alive.

It's true that when a person dies suddenly, their eyes are open and not closed (depending on how the death happened)?

For Dobby his was abrupt and it happened while they apparated so he was in shock so his eyes were open.
