I actually forgot that scene but from what I can recall she's sitting across from Newt there and Newt seemed distracted there so Tina probably can't get through him?

Yeah and he really went to NY to release the Thunderbird there. Plus the creature was happy and free. That's what's important.

It's gonna be virtual this year but I doubt they'll be at the panel since they haven't shot anything for part 3 so they will hopefully be there next year.
