This is how I'd do it as a movie. I'd animate it and have as a framing device H/G and R/Hr telling their kids the stories around a campfire. Five kids, five stories, it works out. They can get DR, BW, RG, and EW to do the voices. If they really wanted to, they could donate a percentage of the profits to the Children's High Level Group.

Oh that's a good idea. And yeah, if the book's sales are donated to the Children's Charity, why not the film too. I'm all for that.

UPDATE: To add to this story, Beedle the Bard has knocked Stephenie Meyer's Twilight off the number 1 spot on USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list. __________________

I didn't think it was doing all that well to be honest but I'm glad I was proven wrong ! __________________

It's not breaking any records, at least none that I know of, but it's going to make the CHLG a lot of money. It's Potterverse and it's written by JKR--that's an unbeatable combination when it comes to books.

And it being the christmas season and a fairly inexpensive book in comparison to the others, it's bound to sell well.

Stephenie Meyer, the American author who is often called the new J.K. Rowling, has been bumped from the top of USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list — by J.K. Rowling. ... It made me laugh. I gave my sister money to order it for me a long time ago and she hasn't done it yet. But screw it, I'm going shopping tomorrow so I'll just get it myself. I'm really excited to read it. __________________

I have just read this book, and it is really good Although some of it, epsecially the story about the warlock's hairy heart, was a bit too gross for me

Me too . I have a huge list when it comes to girl crushes but JKR..well, she's just on a category of her own. .
If I can't get it tomorrow, I already "subtly hinted" to my sister that I'd like this for christmas. So, I have high hopes __________________

The warlock's hairy heart was gruesome. But I wonder if down the road a fairytale will be written in the Wizarding World about Voldemort. How he tried to cheat death and love also by dividing his soul and concealed them in various things like a ring and a diary and a snake. And how it took a young boy to show him the error of his ways. Right before he inadvertently kills himself. Now that's a page turner. __________________

you are probably right. But I didnt get the impression that it was Voldemort's intent to stop love, like it was for the warlock. He just wanted to be immortal. love seemed fairly irrelevant to him. Like Dumbledore kept saying, he never understood the power of love, since he had never felt it, and therefore kept underestimating it.

What I found great about the book is how Jo also incorporated how the stories were, over time, re-written and watered down by over-protective adults who thought the original stories were too scary for children. Just as Disney has done with our fairytales.

Yeah, I loved that too. ANd how their choosing went. It was interesting that the warlock's hairy heart was pased down the generations virtually unedited, while The wizard and the hoppong pot got totally changed.
I also loved how Dumbledore explained how that story was far from a cute fable about learning good ways from the pot, but rather a really politically explosive tale. |
