I don't know I never pictured either of them having a really serious relationship before they got together. I do think they might have dated before they got together though, but nothing serious.

I would like to know about that as well. So many fics write James and Lily dating other people, but I really don't know about that. I also hate those fics who portrait James a manwhore, who basically slept with all the girls on the castle.

In my mind, he never had serious relationships until Lily. He might have dated a bit, but I picture mostly flirtations, not too many real dates.

Lily could have dated someone before James, although you'd think that would have been mentioned because of Severus. Still, who knows.

Yea, I agree. People sometimes forget that the times were different, I really don't picture James sleeping around the castle and the teachers letting that happen. I think he was too busy pranking people with his friends and chasing away Lily to care about other girls.

And I think you have a point about Lily as well. I don't see her dating other guys, tbh. But JKR did say that she was quite of a catch and I think she had a lot of guys who liked her.

Jk, I think Sirius had a bark worse than his bite. Pun definitely intended. I don't doubt he dated lots of girls, but I don't think he was a major player or anything.

Yeah, I would think a lot of guys would have liked Lily.

James was already in love with Lily at fifteen, and he seemed pretty sure she was what he wanted, so I don't think there were many girls in his life. I'm sure he flirted a lot, but I think Lily was the first girl he's ever gone steady with.
I've always imagined Sirius trying to make him go out with other girls, and James refusing, knowing Lily would come around some day

On the other hand, I think Lily had a couple of relationships. And I see James being jealous and trying to sabotage them

I agree girls. I don't see James as the dating type. Sirius maybe but not him. I think he was really shy around girls and even more around Lily that Sirius probably teased him a lot. Lily probably didn't have anyone too but didn't like him at first - maybe curious but she knows his good intentions so she took a chance. Those are just my thoughts.

But most definitely I would love to know more about their Hogwarts life and married life. So many stories left untold.
