Yeah and I think it was said once James' head deflated a little, she was able to see what a good guy he was underneath all the pranks. I think he showed off because he just didn't know how else to express himself. He needed to learn he didn't have to act like a show off to impress anyone, he just had to be himself.
Obviously the James/Snape rivalry was a different story. I think that was more a disagreement about personal beliefs than anything else, I see Lily only being a small factor in it, at least from James' POV. But I don't think James would've ever tried to cause permanent harm to Snape. __________________

Like what has been said, James et al know their limits. Yes they were pranksters but of course they were not going to harm anyone just to be popular, they weren't that kind of people. So I think Lily may have influenced James in a way (not entirely) to be the kind of person he is right now. I think the moment they got together James fell in-love instantly (same with Lily) and that there was no turning back. It was all meant to be.

Well, now I'm feeling really sad. I just watched a QnA with Robbie Jarvis, and according to him there was a lot more filmed for the Snape's Worst Memory scene in movie 5, including the stuff with Lily. Why can't we get that in the special edition, or as deleted scenes?

Oh really?! I didn't know they actually filmed all of that. I can't believe we didn't get it at least on a deleted scene, that sucks.  They even had the snitch bit, I'm dying.  Why can't we have at least the deleted scene?! And I bet that was disappointing for Robbie and all of the actors who played the young Marauders, because it sucks to work on something, to have it cut to least than 10 seconds on the actual movie.  Btw, he looks really handsome on that video.  I didn't think he was that great on the movie, but maybe it's because we barely got to see him lol. But he's super cute. His audition story is hilarious, he had the perfect James reaction. And the part about wanting to win, also so much like James. __________________
