I doubt. He didn't have those feelings for Hermione yet. At that time he probably thought it was funny/disgusting/idiotic that his friend had a crush on an old man.

hermione's crush on lockhart was so weird, but it did fit with her character at that time to fall for a wizard with so many knoledge and skills (that he claimed) and he was also a good looking, so that helped

i think ron stopped teasing her after lockhart tried to hurt him and harry and putting his sister in an immediate danger. i think he became someone he loathed, despite getting what he deserved in the end.

I don't think Ron was jealous at that point, but he was mostly disappointed that a smart girl like Hermione couldn't see behind that facade. Or maybe he was a bit jealous but he wasn't aware what it meant

I don't think Ron realized why he was jealous in CoS, just thought of Hermione as one of his best friends then and was trying to look out for her. It as certainly funny when he was all incredulous about Hermione's crush on Lockhart.

I hated the movies after CoS, and like someone else said... they dumbed down Ron and pretty made him out to be comic relief for the majority of POA - TDH II.

I understand Rupert didn't hand in his assignment, but really... I wouldn't either! He already had enough work to do with rehearsals and memorizing his lines and improvising. But that's no reason to dumb down Ron.

Yeah you're right.

Lockhart isn't really someone that kids back then should be attracted to.
