Harry's parents both died but that didn't put him on the dark side even though the Dursleys didn't treat him well. Thankfully Dumbledore took care of him and looked after him so he didn't entirely go to the dark side.

I agree with that. Harry's a good person and he doesn't seem to be the type that would go to the dark side even if he's had a tragic life.
