Harry kind of died although his brain was still working. He was in limbo. So not really dead, not really alive. :)

Yeah since that's why everyone assume that..

He reached over the back of the sofa, jerked the gun out of Uncle Vernon’s hands, bent it into a knot as easily as if it had been made of rubber, and threw it into a corner of the room.

Hadgrid doesn`t eat muggles but he loves to scare some of them.
