That's so true. We don't see muggles/no-maj interact or even be friends with magical folk. Yes Hermione was a muggle but she has a wand and studied at Hogwarts. Jacob is the first character from this universe we see interacting with wizards so that's why this movie is so relatable in that sense.

Yes they do. Jacob doesn't even know about Ilvermorny (and Hogwarts) until Queenie & Newt mentioned it. This wizarding world is very foreign to him. And that's why the MACUSA wants his memories wiped away.

If this happened to Hermione for example, who studied magic, I don't think MACUSA would ask for her memories to be wiped off since she's familiar with the wizarding world.

And that too. This movie is set in the 1920's so MACUSA may be a bit more conservative too.
I love that scene so much. So emotional and well acted by both Dan & Alison.  __________________

yeah they went and broke it, but then they gave us hope again when she walked into the bakery at the end

GAH that scene in the bakery in the end. Of course Queenie will check on Jacob especially since he can't remember. But that ending really left us with a cliffhanger for part 2.

It was a nice touch to make us see how Jacob was after Queenie obliviated him. Newt stayed a bit behind too until he eventually left New York. Queenie for sure always checked on him and his bakery. I wonder if she checks on him all the time?
