You're both welcome. :)

And now just looking at that gifset, I'm missing Graves again. I'll miss the character. I wonder how he was before Grindelwald got to him?

fly me to the moon 05-08-2018 08:21 AM

Do you think that we will know what happen to Graves?

L i N d $ @ y 05-09-2018 01:04 AM

I don't think we'd touch on that for part 2 anymore unless they mention it. I'm expecting either Tina or Queenie would have an update since they both work at the MACUSA.

Ahh, thanks.. I hope that they will..

As far as we know, he's dead and Grindelwald killed him. :(

karma_nirvami 05-10-2018 11:52 AM

NOOOOOO!!! :bawl:

Personally, I want him back. I want Colin back. :look: I was also hoping that they'd at least update us or mention (in part 2) what really happened to Graves.

I know. I actually began losing hope around the time J K Rowling stepped in, presumably to try and clear the air with fans via Twitter and inform us peeps of Grindelwald's use of advanced Transfiguration to disguise himself as Graves. His use of a Transfiguration spell rather than Polyjuice in this case means that the original Graves wasn't needed to provide the hairs for it, so Grindelwald could have disposed of him early on in devising a plan to infiltrate MACUSA. Maybe he kept Graves alive somewhere to interrogate him for his mannerisms, and stuff?

Thanks for that.. It seems that he cut his hair??

I thought about this too in the hopes that he's at least alive. It wasn't until after seeing the movie when I've read interviews that David Heyman confirmed Graves to be dead. I assumed Graves used a Polyjuice Potion as the same one that Barty Crouch Jr. used for Moody. Although making a potion is much tougher than just casting a spell. He could still keep him alive to interrogate him but why kill him? Maybe he doesn't want Graves back in the MACUSA for fear that he may expose him? He can obliviate him so he doesn't remember what happened.
