Matt enjoyed the film!

Thanks to all who turned out to see us with the HP tour truck in Leicester Sq. Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps were a delight as usual!

Oh and I saw Half Blood Prince this morning. It's alright.

Hahaha. No, HBP is bloody brilliant. You're gonna absolutely love it. Tom Felton and Jim Broadbent are particularly fantastic.

Lol, you all make me laugh. HBP is fantastic. Wonderfully directed. Rather dark and atmospheric yet surprisingly very, very funny.
:yay:

Heh, Matt's hilarious. "It was all right." Hee. Honestly, he's one of the HP kids who I think would be the most fun to hang out with. He just seems like a riot.

Kgose 06-19-2009 03:50 PM

He does seem cool. He would be one of the cast members that I would love to hang out with for a day.

More from Matt about the HBP screening:

Quote:

Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom in the film series, said fans will see his character getting more strong-willed and starting to change in the Half-Blood Prince.

And it's probably no surprise to fans of the Harry Potter books that Matthew thinks the story of the Half-Blood Prince isn't that nice, in terms of what happens in it.

"Every year, we always say 'it's much darker, this one', but this one really is. It gets pretty heavy in parts," he said.

"But the balance they've achieved with the comedy... the timing is wonderful.

"Jim Broadbent [Professor Slughorn] is superb, Rupert Grint [Ron Weasley] is on top form and it is very very funny."

I want to know what he thought of his OWN performance! He's so complimentary to everyone else. What about YOU Matt!?

Gean 06-20-2009 06:52 AM

It seems he's too humble/shy to talk about himself. Hopefully someone from the cast will give details if not from him.
