Jacob Kowalski was an American No-Maj who lived in the early 20th century.

Kowalski fought in the First World War in the 1910s. Returning to the United States, he found work in a cannery, but dreamt of becoming a baker. In 1926, shortly after breaking up with his girlfriend, he met Newt Scamander, a British wizard who stopped in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures, and through him was introduced to the wizarding world.

Jacob was present when the magical creatures escaped Newton Scamander's suitcase and was attacked by a murtlap. He later manages to befriend a Demiguise.

Daniel "Dan" Kevin Fogler is an American actor, voice-over artist, filmmaker, playwright, graphic novelist, stand-up comedian and musician. He is currently filming the role of Jacob Kowalski for the upcoming J.K. Rowling screen adaptation of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Dan Fogler was born Daniel Kevin Fogler in Brooklyn, New York, the second child of Shari, an English teacher, and Dr. Richard Fogler, a surgeon. Before he attended the School of Theatre at Boston University, he went to Poly Prep Country Day School and graduated in 1994.

Well, I could say that they do have therapists, but they would put you in crazy hospital..

Is he a comedy actor? I think he is right? I'm not familiar with Dan before these movies.

And also I think he sometimes does plays though lately he's concentrating more on TV shows and movies.
