That's the risk with having a friend like Remus. When he's a werewolf, he's not himself so he can hurt his friends.

That's why it's important that he trusts his friends. I'm glad Peter was at least supportive of Remus during times like this for him but still he betrayed his friends and he still doesn't get sympathy from me.
