Do headmasters normally teach classes? I think Dumbledore has his hands full. He studies or gets called away. I bet he spends many hours planning to destroy Voldemort.

That's true. DD was a particularly busy headmaster, so I can't imagine him taking a class. Maybe overseeing an exam at the most.

I am pleased so many people warmed up to Richard Harris. He's probably one of the most beloved cast members other than Alan Rickman.
Then again, he seemed less "angry" than Gambon. I apologize for the second link, it has the cheesy COS ending. I wish I can find some clips from PS/SS. And I'll post some Gambon scenes too when I get around to them. Here's one. One of my favorites. Last edited by KJJ1588; 02-16-2009 at 10:48 PM |

Richard Harris's DD was more like a Grandpa to Harry while Gambon's DD has started to take shape as a mentor-apprentice kind. Maybe because Harris's DD was when Harry was still little and there were so many things DD did not reveal to him at that time. But both are great Dumbledore. The death scene in HBP will be hard to watch. :sad:

I agree with that Emmie. Gambon is just more agile too which is very appropriate for Half Blood Prince.
I'm curious to see who they've cast as a younger Albus. __________________

i was hesitant with Gambon when he replaced Harris but i warmed up to him eventually.

Yeah, Michael Gambon makes me believe that Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in the world. A true warlock. And yes, even more powerful than Lord Voldemort.
