I don't think I cried reading this in the book but I did in the movie when Dumbledore died. I think the whole raising the wands thing was the substitute for the funeral in the movie.

I actually already know what was going to happen but I still cried. Damn. Just that entire scene from the cave up until Dumbledore died was such a highlight and why HBP (movie) really moved me. I was sad when Dumbledore died in the book (of course) and I couldn't believe it but I was distraught watching the movie.

It's been years I've seen that movie so I've forgotten it but I would like to re-watch it again.
Boardwalk Empire is a good American period drama although I haven't watched that. As for movies, The Age of Innocence and Sense & Sensibility are good American period dramas. __________________
