Soulmates.

In humorous situations:

“Ah, there’s Penelope!” said Percy, smoothing his hair and going
pink again. Ginny caught Harry’s eye, and they both turned away
to hide their laughter
as Percy strode over to a girl with long, curly
hair, walking with his chest thrown out so that she couldn’t miss his
shiny badge.

In every day situations:

Harry looked over at Ron, who was hunched in a corner, staring at
his knees, a bottle of butterbeer clutched in his hand.
“Angelina still won’t let him resign,” Ginny said, as though reading
Harry’s mind.
“She says she knows he’s got it in him.”

In tense situations:

She could have summoned it by magic, but as she hurried back
toward the crooked house, Harry knew that she wanted to hide
her face. He turned to Ginny and she answered his unspoken
plea for information at once.

In passionate situations:

They stared at each other, and there was something more than
shock in Ginny’s expression. Suddenly Harry became aware that
this was the first time that he had been alone with her since those
stolen hours in secluded corners of the Hogwarts grounds. He
was sure she was remembering them too.

In angsty situations:

Ripples of cold undulated over Harry’s skin. He wanted to shout
out to the night, he wanted Ginny to know that he was there,
he wanted her to know where he was going. He wanted to be
stopped, to be dragged back, to be sent back home. . . .

Ginny was kneeling beside the injured girl now, holding her hand.
With a huge effort Harry forced himself on. He thought he saw
Ginny look around as he passed, and wondered whether she had
sensed someone walking nearby
, but he did not speak, and
he did not look back.

In parenting situations:

“He’ll be all right,” murmured Ginny.
As Harry looked at her, he lowered his hand absentmindedly
and touched the lightning scar on his forehead.
“I know he will.”

They get each other perfectly. Equals up next.

Fears :
Hermione went over and put a comforting arm around her.
“But didn’t any of you — fall off your seats?” said Harry awkwardly.
“No,” said Ron, looking anxiously at Harry again. “Ginny was shaking like mad, though. . . .”

-----------------
Ginny, who was huddled in her corner looking nearly as bad as Harry felt, gave a small sob.

Talents:
“Well,” said Angelina dully, pulling off her cloak and throwing it into a corner, “we’ve replaced you.”
“Replaced me?” said Harry blankly.
“You and Fred and George,” she said impatiently. “We’ve got another Seeker!”
“Who?” said Harry quickly.
“Ginny Weasley,” said Katie.

Egos:
“Madame Maxime!” said Fleur at once, striding over to her headmistress. “Zey are saying zat zis little boy is to compete also!”
Somewhere under Harry’s numb disbelief he felt a ripple of anger. Little boy?
-----------------
“It’s her,” said Ginny, plonking herself down on Harry’s bed.
“She’s driving me mad.” “What’s she done now?” asked Hermione sympathetically. “It’s the way she talks to me — you’d think I was about three!”

Humor:
“Three dementor attacks in a week, and all Romilda Vane does is ask me if it’s true you’ve got a hippogriff tattooed across your chest.”
Ron and Hermione both roared with laughter. Harry ignored them.
“What did you tell her?”
“I told her it’s a Hungarian Horntail,” said Ginny, turning a page of the newspaper idly. “Much more macho.”
“Thanks,” said Harry, grinning. “And what did you tell her Ron’s got?”
“A Pygmy Puff, but I didn’t say where.”

Leadership:
However, he did let drop certain snippets. Snape seemed to be facing a constant, low level of mutiny from a hard core of students. Ginny had been banned from going into Hogsmeade. Snape had reinstated Umbridge’s old decree forbidding gatherings of three or more students or any unofficial student societies. From all of these things, Harry deduced that Ginny, and probably Neville and Luna along with her, had been doing their best to continue Dumbledore’s Army.
This scant news made Harry want to see Ginny so badly it felt like a stomachache; but it also made him think of Ron again, and of Dumbledore, and of Hogwarts itself, which he missed nearly as much as his ex-girlfriend.

Comfort.

Do not fear the CAPS-LOCK.

“Then You-Know-Who hasn’t ever possessed you,” said Ginny simply.
“When he did it to me, I couldn’t remember what I’d been doing
for hours at a time. I’d find myself somewhere and not know how I
got there.”
Harry hardly dared believe her, yet his heart was lightening almost
in spite of himself
.

They say chocolate is comfort food.

“The thing about growing up with Fred and George,” said Ginny
thoughtfully, “is that you sort of start thinking anything’s possible if
you’ve got enough nerve.”
Harry looked at her. Perhaps it was the effect of the chocolate —
Lupin had always advised eating some after encounters with dementors
— or simply because he had finally spoken aloud the wish that had
been burning inside him for a week, but he felt a bit more hopeful. . . .

From annoyance to smiling.

Annoyed, but absolutely convinced he was right, Harry snatched
up a pile of filthy Quidditch robes and left the room; Mrs. Weasley
had been urging them for days not to leave their washing and packing
until the last moment. On the landing he bumped into Ginny,
who was returning to her room carrying a pile of freshly laundered
clothes.
“I wouldn’t go in the kitchen just now,” she warned him. “There’s
a lot of Phlegm around.”
“I’ll be careful not to slip in it.” Harry smiled.

Comforting her.

“Hang on,” said a voice close by Harry’s left ear and he caught a
sudden waft of that flowery smell he had picked up in Slughorn’s
dungeon. He looked around and saw that Ginny had joined them.
“Did I hear right? You’ve been taking orders from something
someone wrote in a book, Harry?”
She looked alarmed and angry. Harry knew what was on her
mind at once.
“It’s nothing,” he said reassuringly, lowering his voice.
“It’s not
like, you know, Riddle’s diary. It’s just an old textbook someone’s
scribbled on.”

Comforting him.

Then another voice said, “Harry, come on.”
A much smaller and warmer hand had enclosed his and was
pulling him upward. He obeyed its pressure without really thinking
about it.
Only as he walked blindly back through the crowd did he
realize, from a trace of flowery scent on the air, that it was Ginny
who was leading him back into the castle.

Comforting each other.

Harry said nothing. He had been trying to keep fear at bay ever
since reaching the Burrow, but now it enveloped him, seeming to
crawl over his skin, throbbing in his chest, clogging his throat.
As they walked down the back steps into the dark yard,
Ginny took his hand.

Sensually:
They chose the one nearest a gold-coloured cauldron that was emitting one of the most seductive scents Harry had ever inhaled:
somehow it reminded him simultaneously of treacle tart, the woody smell of a broomstick handle and something flowery he thought he might have smelled at The Burrow.

Furiously:
“You don’t know what you’re talking about!” Ron roared, trying to get a clear shot at Ginny around Harry, who was now standing in front of her with his arms outstretched. “Just because I don’t do it in public -!”
Ginny screamed with derisive laughter, trying to push Harry out of the way.
“Been kissing Pigwidgeon, have you? Or have you got a picture of Auntie Muriel stashed under your pillow?”
“You –”
A streak of orange light flew under Harry’s left arm and missed Ginny by inches; Harry pushed Ron up against the wall.
“Don’t be stupid –”

Sexually:
“There isn’t anyone I want to invite,” mumbled Harry, who was still trying not to think about Ginny any more than he could help, despite the fact that she kept cropping up in his dreams in ways that made him devoutly thankful that Ron could not perform Legilimency.

Spontaneously:
"Harry looked around; there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her. After several long moments – or it might have been half an hour – or possibly several sunlit days – they broke apart."

Hungrily:
“There’s the silver lining I’ve been looking for,” she whispered, and then she was kissing him as she had never kissed him before, and Harry was kissing her back, and it was blissful oblivion, better than firewhiskey; she was the only real thing in the world, Ginny, the feel of her, one hand at her back and one in her long, sweet-smelling hair –

Romantically:
They were waiting: Everything was waiting. Hagrid was struggling, and Bellatrix was panting, and Harry thought inexplicably of Ginny, and her blazing look, and the feel of her lips on his —

Worthy.

Deflecting the Spotlight.

“Famous Harry Potter,” said Malfoy. “Can’t even go into a bookshop
without making the front page.”
“Leave him alone, he didn’t want all that!” said Ginny. It was the
first time she had spoken in front of Harry. She was glaring at Malfoy.

But then he faltered.

So Harry, his voice now growing hoarse from all this talking,
told them about Fawkes’s timely arrival and about the Sorting Hat
giving him the sword. But then he faltered. He had so far avoided
mentioning Riddle’s diary — or Ginny. She was standing with her
head against Mrs. Weasley’s shoulder, and tears were still coursing
silently down her cheeks. What if they expelled her? Harry thought
in panic.
Riddle’s diary didn’t work anymore. . . . How could they
prove it had been he who’d made her do it all?

Scourgify.

She closed the door again, rather pink in the face, and departed.
Harry slumped back in his seat and groaned. He would have liked
Cho to discover him sitting with a group of very cool people laughing
their heads off at a joke he had just told; he would not have chosen to
be sitting with Neville and Loony Lovegood, clutching a toad and
dripping in Stinksap.
“Never mind,” said Ginny bracingly. “Look, we can get rid of all
this easily.” She pulled out her wand. “Scourgify!”
The Stinksap vanished.

Loyal.

“That’s right,” said Ginny staunchly. “Neville and I were both there
too, and all this “Chosen One” rubbish is just the Prophet making
things up as usual.”

-------

“His sister didn’t really try,” said McLaggen menacingly. There
was a vein pulsing in his temple like the one Harry had often admired
in Uncle Vernon’s. “She gave him an easy save.”
“Rubbish,” said Harry coldly. “That was the one he nearly
missed.”

Understanding.

She met Harry’s gaze with the same hard, blazing look that he
had seen when she had hugged him after winning the Quidditch
Cup in his absence, and he knew that at that moment they
understood each other perfectly
, and that when he told her
what he was going to do now, she would not say, “Be careful,” or
“Don’t do it,” but accept his decision, because she would not have
expected anything less of him. And so he steeled himself to say
what he had known he must say ever since Dumbledore had died.
“Ginny, listen . . .” he said very quietly.

Soulmates. Equals. Comfort. Passionate. Worthy... it's all there. Because JKR's books and interviews say so.

Exactly. I love it so much when JKR talks about H/G in interviews, because she always reiterates what she showed so beautifully in the books. ♥
