What makes Newt and Jacob unique in m eyes that Jacob is No-maj and I liked how a wizard and a non-wizard can be friends. Newt doesn't have wizard friends and when he finds a friend, it's a No-maj.. I really love that

I think Jo wanted to showcase this in the movies, that it's possible for a No-Maj and a wizard to be friends. Granted Hermione was a Muggle but she can perform spells because she studied for that. Jacob can't.

I think he put it in his pocket cause he knows it was going to hatch anytime. And I think Newt can be a bit careless with his Beasts. His suitcase wasn't zipped up well thus the reason why the Niffler escaped (and sensed some shiny stuff nearby). Also, I'll attribute that to the Beasts being reckless. You can't really domesticate some of them (like the Thunderbird) but Newt being Newt he loves them and wants to take care of them.

This part from the movie really killed me.

^ Me too..Here were he is admitting he liked Jacob as a friend may be the first time for him in many years

Exactly..And to prove a certain point that MACUSA is mistaken on how they treat No-Maj.

I agree. I think he took certain care of this egg as it was going to hatch soon but because his suit wasn't closed enough, Niffler escaped away and went to the bank, Newt's attention was drifted to it and didn't pay much attention to the egg anymore.

i love how close attention to details you all pay to the movie. helps me who has ADD and doesnt notice these things. which is why i need multiple viewings of this. and clearly 2 isnt enough. i need to watch this again. i cant wait for the dvd release

He can't just leave it inside his suitcase cause he'd need need to go inside and that would take sometime so I think he put it in his pocket cause he knew it was going to hatch anytime.

I forgot a lot of parts in the movie but for some reason, this part I recall. This is why I like discussing the movie cause other people will remember things I have forgotten.
