I wish that American shows can do that, but noooooo.. They always love to have filler episodes.. Sigh..

Plus it's your scheduling too. Fall starts in September and most of the shows end in May/summer. So 22 eps is suitable. UK shows are usually shorter and they have so many TV shows & mini series. They also don't have shows that go on for 10 seasons with the exception of Doctor Who.
