It is worth it! I'm not sure I'd watch it again though. I'm not keen on re-watching stuff unless I really, really loved it.

can i be added pleasE?

is this the hermione thread? I thought i asked to be added a while ago, but i'm not there, also there's no thread number? Could someone point me in the direction of the proper hermione thread?

L i N d $ @ y 06-27-2016 11:21 PM

Cece, I get what you mean.

Jade, yes this is the Hermione thread. There's no thread number (as is with the 3 main ship threads here) because of the volatile ship wars here many years ago that the mods (those before me) decided to take away the numbers to avoid the fights here. There is still ship wars in the fandom although not as volatile as it was before.

In some ways I like that there aren't thread numbers. It can indicate which ships/characters are more popular on a board and that may shy people away if they like the lesser popular ships/characters. You do a great job Lindsay at posting on all threads (as moderators should). :)

That's the thing, the more thread numbers equates to more fans/more popular which we didn't want to happen here. There was so much tension that even thread numbers were an issue. :sigh: Thanks Cece! :flowers:

Oh i get it. The last time i visited I was sure there were numbers. I thought shipper wars happened in couple threads. :thud:

Character wars are a thing too, I'm sure. In the past. Things are a lot better now.

Love how much Emma is speaking out for women!

It depends on the fandom. Yes there were numbers before but that was taken away because of the ship wars.

Yes especially on this board back when the books were out.

Her ringtone is a Tina Turner song. She's adorable though, she apologized right away. :)

Emma Watson has been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The actress is among the 683 new members invited to join the Academy, the largest and most diverse class of new members in its 89-year history.

The new class is more than double last year’s 322 invitees, which included Daniel Radcliffe, and the Academy was eager to highlight the group’s diversity in an announcement Wednesday. Forty-six percent of the new members are female, and 41% are people of color. Those numbers are enough to bring the overall makeup of the 7,000-plus-member organization up to 27% female (from 25%) and 11% people of color (from 8%). The new class also includes 283 international members from 59 countries, while the group’s ages range from 24 to 91.

Emma Watson sat down with the Independent while promoting her latest film, Colonia.

First announced in 2014 and based on real-life events, Colonia tells the story of Lena and Daniel, a young couple who get caught up in the 1973 Chilean military coup. After Daniel goes missing, Lena sets out in search of him, only to find herself embroiled in the cult-like Colonia Dignidad, which purports to be a Christian mission but actually has far more sinister practices.

In addition to discussing her role in the film, Watson speaks a bit about being a former child star and her upcoming role as Belle in Beauty and the Beast.
